En 2020, la regi\u00f3n tendr\u00e1 m\u00e1s de 300 millones de habitantes, lo que ilustra un marcado contraste entre una poblaci\u00f3n joven y unas tendencias al envejecimiento. Este crecimiento es atribuible en gran medida a pa\u00edses importantes como el  <\/span><b>M\u00e9xico<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">M\u00e9xico <\/span><b>Colombia<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Venezuela <\/span><b>Venezuela<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> y Guatemala <\/span><b>Guatemala<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">que juntos constituyen una proporci\u00f3n significativa de la poblaci\u00f3n regional.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>M\u00e9xico<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Poblaci\u00f3n : 127 millones<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Colombia<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Poblaci\u00f3n : 51 millones<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: por su elevada tasa de natalidad, que alcanza el 28 \u2030, con un \u00edndice de fecundidad (FCI) de 3,8, muy por encima del umbral de renovaci\u00f3n. Estas cifras ponen de relieve una poblaci\u00f3n predominantemente joven, con una gran proporci\u00f3n de residentes menores de 25 a\u00f1os. En Martinica, cerca del 30% de la poblaci\u00f3n tiene m\u00e1s de 60 a\u00f1os, y el \u00edndice de envejecimiento es elevado (1,05).
