F\u00e9lix M\u00e9rine<\/a> creci\u00f3 muy cerca del agua, en una casa frente al mar. Desde muy peque\u00f1o, el yawl form\u00f3 parte de su vida cotidiana, sin imaginar que esta embarcaci\u00f3n tradicional ser\u00eda su compa\u00f1era de por vida. Pero fue mucho m\u00e1s tarde, tras las tormentas de la vida, cuando F\u00e9lix M\u00e9rine comprendi\u00f3 el poder de esta embarcaci\u00f3n. El yawl no s\u00f3lo le ense\u00f1\u00f3 a navegar, sino que le dio un camino, una direcci\u00f3n, una raz\u00f3n para actuar. F\u00e9lix M\u00e9rine<\/a> creci\u00f3 a dos pasos del mar, en Robert, en una casa donde el agua formaba parte de la vida cotidiana. Muy joven, descubri\u00f3 el mundo de la trainera junto a sus t\u00edos. No subi\u00f3 a bordo de inmediato; al principio observaba, aprend\u00eda y escuchaba. Constru\u00eda peque\u00f1os yawls en la calle, ayudaba a lavar las velas y participaba en la vida del yawl sin saberlo. Ah\u00ed es donde empieza todo: en los gestos repetidos, las miradas intercambiadas, el respeto silencioso de los mayores. <\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

A los 16 a\u00f1os, F\u00e9lix M\u00e9rine dej\u00f3 la escuela. “No hice caso a mi madre”, dice sin rodeos. Entr\u00f3 en una \u00e9poca turbulenta. El servicio militar en Lyon le marc\u00f3 profundamente. Disciplina, respeto, responsabilidad: descubri\u00f3 reglas estrictas que aplicaba sin rechistar. <\/span>
<\/span> A 8.000 kil\u00f3metros de distancia, el consejo de su madre por fin ten\u00eda sentido.<\/b>

En 1987, fund\u00f3 su asociaci\u00f3n e impuso reglas estrictas: entrenamiento regular, nada de alcohol, esp\u00edritu de equipo <\/span>y respeto mutuo<\/span>. <\/span> Llev\u00f3 su tiempo, pero los resultados llegaron. El yawling se est\u00e1 convirtiendo en algo m\u00e1s que un deporte: se est\u00e1 convirtiendo en una escuela. <\/span><\/p>

“El yawl<\/a> me salv\u00f3 la vida”, dice F\u00e9lix M\u00e9rine. <\/span><\/p>

Lo que aprende en el agua, lo aplica en su negocio. Hoy dirige una empresa de transporte que opera en el Caribe, con m\u00e1s de 60 empleados. Actualmente retirado de las competiciones, F\u00e9lix M\u00e9rine dedica su tiempo a transmitir sus conocimientos. Supervisa a j\u00f3venes que han perdido el rumbo, <\/span>comparte su experiencia y <\/span>dirige un proyecto de reinserci\u00f3n de reclusos mediante la navegaci\u00f3n a vela. Para \u00e9l <\/span>cada esfuerzo cuenta, y puede cambiarlo todo.<\/span> “Nada est\u00e1 perdido”, dice gravemente, “incluso cuando todo parece estarlo”. <\/span>Lo que ha recibido de sus mayores ha sido decisivo, y sabe que un joven bien rodeado tambi\u00e9n puede encontrar su camino.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
