Mia Mottley tambi\u00e9n ha elogiado el arte del picong, esas agudas disputas verbales que forman parte de la cultura caribe\u00f1a. Ha recordado \u00abDan Is the Man in the Van\u00bb, una s\u00e1tira sobre la educaci\u00f3n colonial. En ella, Mighty Sparrow se burlaba de las canciones infantiles y los cuentos que se aprend\u00edan en el colegio, tan alejados de la vida cotidiana de los ni\u00f1os. El paralelismo es sorprendente. Antillas. All\u00ed trabaja sin cobrar, teme al l\u00e1tigo y a los perros, y sue\u00f1a con escapar. Tambi\u00e9n colabora con Curazao, Saba, San Eustaquio, Sint Maarten y Surinam. Sus ex\u00e1menes de secundaria, el CSEC, existen desde 1979. Martinica y Guadalupe no forman parte de \u00e9l.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-2bd6e4e elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"2bd6e4e\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Por cierto, Mighty Sparrow no es ning\u00fan desconocido para el CXC. Su nombre aparece entre los artistas de calipso del programa de estudios de m\u00fasica del CSEC. As\u00ed que lo que est\u00e1 en juego no es dar a conocer al artista a los alumnos, sino darle a una canci\u00f3n concreta un lugar espec\u00edfico en la ense\u00f1anza de la historia y la memoria. Queda por determinar en qu\u00e9 asignatura se podr\u00eda ense\u00f1ar \u00abThe Slave\u00bb, a qu\u00e9 alumnos y con qu\u00e9 materiales.
