D\u00e8s le XVIIe si\u00e8cle, les Africains r\u00e9duits en esclavage \u00e0 Trinidad et Tobago avaient fait des percussions un moyen d\u2019expression et de coh\u00e9sion communautaire. Mais en 1881, les autorit\u00e9s coloniales britanniques interdisent les tambours, redoutant leur potentiel insurrectionnel.<\/p><p>Priv\u00e9es de cet exutoire, les populations marginalis\u00e9es inventent alors le tamboo bamboo, utilisant des tubes de bambou pour cr\u00e9er des rythmes puissants. Cette pratique sera elle aussi bannie dans les ann\u00e9es 1930, poussant les jeunes \u00e0 exp\u00e9rimenter avec les mat\u00e9riaux \u00e0 disposition. C\u2019est ainsi que na\u00eet le steelpan : des bidons d\u2019huile martel\u00e9s, recycl\u00e9s en instruments m\u00e9lodiques. Winston &#8220;Spree&#8221; Simon figure parmi les pionniers ayant pressenti le potentiel musical de ces contenants m\u00e9talliques.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<section href=\"https:\/\/culturemixarts.co.uk\/education\/resources\/history-of-steel-pan\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">steelpan<\/a> repose sur une cha\u00eene d\u2019op\u00e9rations minutieuses. Tout commence par le &#8220;sinking&#8221;, qui consiste \u00e0 marteler le fond du bidon pour en faire une surface concave. S\u2019ensuivent le tra\u00e7age des notes, leur s\u00e9paration acoustique par rainurage, le traitement thermique, puis l\u2019accordage, r\u00e9alis\u00e9 par des tuners hautement qualifi\u00e9s. Chaque instrument devient ainsi une \u0153uvre d\u2019art fonctionnelle.<\/p><p>La famille du steelpan s\u2019est \u00e9largie au fil des d\u00e9cennies : tenor pan, double second, guitar pan, six bass\u2026 Autant de voix compl\u00e9mentaires qui composent les ensembles orchestraux capables d\u2019interpr\u00e9ter aussi bien du calypso que des symphonies classiques. c\u00e9l\u00e9bration importante<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-fa5cc24 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"fa5cc24\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Fond\u00e9 en 1969 et l\u00e9galis\u00e9 par une loi du Parlement en 1986, Pan Trinbago pilote le d\u00e9veloppement du mouvement steelpan. L&#8217;organisation coordonne cette ann\u00e9e encore le Steelpan Month 2025, avec un programme dense et strat\u00e9gique qui culmine le 11 ao\u00fbt, lors de la Journ\u00e9e mondiale du steelpan, d\u00e9sormais reconnue par les Nations Unies.<\/p><p>Au-del\u00e0 des concerts dans les traditionnels panyards, ces espaces d\u2019entra\u00eenement communautaires Steelpan Month 2025 sera rythm\u00e9 par des ateliers en milieu scolaire, des expositions interactives et des tables rondes sur l\u2019avenir de l\u2019instrument. L\u2019objectif : faire dialoguer g\u00e9n\u00e9rations, disciplines et territoires autour d\u2019un patrimoine vivant.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<section
