Il s\u2019agit d\u2019un <\/span><b>rituel <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">communautaire afro-carib\u00e9en, profond\u00e9ment enracin\u00e9 dans l\u2019histoire de la traite n\u00e9gri\u00e8re et dans la reconstruction identitaire des populations africaines d\u00e9port\u00e9es dans la Cara\u00efbe. Sur cette petite \u00eele de l\u2019archipel des Grenadines, le tambour, le chant et la danse forment un langage commun qui relie les vivants aux anc\u00eatres. Contrairement \u00e0 d\u2019autres territoires o\u00f9 certaines pratiques ont \u00e9t\u00e9 transform\u00e9es ou folkloris\u00e9es, Carriacou a conserv\u00e9 une relation directe et assum\u00e9e \u00e0 ses h\u00e9ritages africains.
