With the aim of “helping to build a more inclusive society” and strengthening cultural cooperation between Haiti and the EU, the European Union delegation in Haiti is launching a call for proposals with a budget of 500,000 euros.
This initiative aims to boost Haiti’s cultural sector, which is facing “numerous challenges”, says the delegation, which is asking interested parties to express their interest before noon on September 30, 2024.
The deadline for submission of supporting documents is noon on October 9, 2024.
Interested parties are invited to visit the delegation’s website for more information on the project and to submit their proposal by filling in the grant application form and attaching the budget for the project.
The call for proposals to “support Haiti’s cultural dynamism” will be subsidized to the tune of 500,000 euros, the delegation informs, stressing that grant applications must be submitted for between 400,000 and 500,000 euros.
Increasing the visibility of Haitian cultural events, promoting intercultural dialogue and supporting culture as an engine for social and economic development are among the objectives of this ambitious program to support “Haitian culture for a better future”, according to the EU, which also wishes to disseminate its fundamental values through cultural activities aimed at inclusion, poverty and conflict reduction.
