ARTE ECO DECORACIONES

& ECODECO DISEÑO SOSTENIBLE

Richès Karayib presents the story of two women, two ecological carpenters, Andrea Cortes and Lizeth Ospina who have created 2 companies Arte Eco Decoraciones and EcoDeco Diseño Sostenible.

The companies, located in Cali, Colombia, share the same goal of contributing to the environment preservation and promoting the consumption of sustainable products by reusing non-renewable materials to the maximum such as pallets.

The 2 women make furnitures with reclaimed wood.

Let’s discover the 2 businesswomen and the products they make.

The story from the beginning

The Company creation

A story of a first company that was always full of challenges…

Lizeth was working at that time with an Intermodal company dedicated to international logistics, in the customer service department where she saw many pallets stacked.

She is very creative, so she decided to buy some and take them home. With these pallets, she made some tables and some decorative items.

Lizeth uploaded the products photos to her Facebook profile and immediately sold them among her closest friends and acquaintances.

Andrea worked in a company that is dedicated to executing environmental work and was at that time planting grass in the port of Aguadulce in Buenaventura, one of the most important ports in Colombia.

There had all the pallets they needed, so she began to send them to Lizeth in Cali….

They decide to partner

People started asking if they could do one thing or another and they said YES.

In November 2017 Andrea quit her job and Lizeth did the same too just 1 year later.

They created ARTE ECO DECORACIONES

Lizeth started the business idea with a saw and a hammer in the garage of her house.

Since they started 6 years have passed, with effort and all the good attitude they have built Arte Eco Decoracione, ecological carpentry.

Today they make any type of furniture with wood recovered from pallets or crates that they get from some local companies.

A NEW TURN

The creation of another company

After more than 6 years the 2 businesswomen decided to create another company.

Lizeth stays at the head of ARTE ECO DECORACIONES

and

Andrea becomes the founder of a new company ECODECO DISEÑO SOSTENIBLE.

The 2 creative women will continue to transform the rusticity of pallets into a decorative piece in a simple and innovative way with many designs.

The feminine touch is recognized in the furnitures that have excellent finishes.

The main focus of the 2 businesswomen is firmly committed to sustainable development to protect the environment.
