An unprecedented direct link

Starting this winter, Corsair will be the only airline to offer direct flights between Pointe-à-Pitre and Nantes. This new route, which will operate every Tuesday until April 28, 2026, will enable Guadeloupeans to reach the west of France non-stop. Timetables have been designed to maximize passenger comfort:

  • Flight Pointe-à-Pitre – Nantes : Departure at 8:20 p.m. (local time), arrival at 9:35 a.m. the following day.

Why Nantes? Responding to growing demand

This opening is part of Corsair’s wider strategy to diversify connections between the French overseas departments and regions. After offering flights to Bordeaux for four years, the airline is now responding to the needs of Guadeloupeans by offering them direct access to Nantes, an economically and culturally dynamic region.

According to Corsair’s general management, this route has a dual ambition: to meet the strong demand between the French overseas territories and France, while playing a key role in the economic development of the French overseas territories. Indeed, this route is not limited to tourism; it also facilitates family and professional exchanges.

A modern fleet for comfort and the environment

Corsair stands out for its homogeneous fleet, made up exclusively of 9 Airbus A330neo, modern aircraft with an average age of just two years. These aircraft offer optimum comfort thanks to cutting-edge technologies, while boasting outstanding environmental performance:

  • 60% reduction in noise footprint.
  • 25% reduction in fuel consumption and CO2 emissions per seat.

These characteristics position Corsair as a committed player in the airline industry’s energy transition. In 2024, the company was recognized as the best leisure airline in France by Skytrax. What’s more, according to the Ch-Aviation barometer, Corsair has the youngest French fleet, ranking second in Europe on this criterion.

Corsair

A major economic and tourism impact

The opening of this new route is a boon for the economic and tourism development of both regions. For Nantes, it means welcoming more Guadeloupean tourists keen to discover western France. For Guadeloupe, it’s an opportunity to attract more visitors from mainland France, thus strengthening its local economy.

Greater connectivity for the French overseas territories

Corsair Chairman and CEO Pascal de Izaguirre emphasized that this initiative is part of a drive to strengthen connectivity between France and the French overseas territories. “More than a carrier”, he asserts, “Corsair wishes to play an active role in the economic development of the French Overseas Territories”. This statement highlights the company’s strategic commitment to these often geographically isolated territories.

Why choose Corsair for your travels?

In addition to its modern fleet and competitive fares, Corsair guarantees a consistent experience on all its destinations thanks to the following features:

  1. Optimized comfort: Airbus A330neo cabins are spacious and quiet.
  2. Environmental commitment: Significant reduction in pollutant emissions.
  3. Recognized customer service: Winner of the Skytrax ranking in 2024.
  4. Fare flexibility: Offers tailored to the varied needs of travelers.

These assets make Corsair the preferred choice for those who wish to travel between the French Overseas Territories and France with peace of mind.

Corsair

A unique opportunity to explore western France

With this new direct link to Nantes, Guadeloupeans will now have access to a region rich in cultural and natural discoveries. Loire-Atlantique is renowned for its historic chateaux, renowned vineyards (notably Muscadet) and breathtaking coastal scenery. What’s more, Nantes itself is a city, with its unique architectural heritage and modern attractions .

For those wishing to extend their trip, Nantes is also an ideal gateway to other French regions such as Brittany and the Loire Valley.

This new direct service between Pointe-à-Pitre and Nantes represents much more than a simple air connection. It represents a significant step forward in bringing the French overseas territories closer to France, while offering Guadeloupean travelers a gateway to western France. With its attractive fares, modern fleet and commitment to the environment, Corsair continues to assert its position as a key player in air transport between the French Overseas Territories and mainland France.
