Sierra de Bahoruco National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is home to an impressive diversity of ecosystems: dry forests, cloud forests, cliffs, caves and lagoons. This park, the heart of the Jaragua-Bahoruco-Enriquillo Biosphere Reserve, rises to an altitude of over 2,300 metres and is the kingdom of orchids, rhinoceros iguanas and over 100 species of birds.

Endemic species and natural treasures
